Who's Who

The Staff
The staff are all well qualified and keep up to date with current initiatives by regularly attending relevant courses and in-service training offered in and around Staffordshire.

Teaching and learning is supported by a large number of additional staff who help daily to ensure the every day smooth running of the school. We are extremely fortunate in having a strong team of people who liaise closely and are dedicated to working for the good of the school and furthering its reputation in the local community.

The Governing Body
The Governors of Belvedere Junior School are appointed or elected for a four year period. The Governors make decisions about how the school is run. They are appointed to help decide what is taught, to set standards of behaviour, to interview and select staff, to take decisions on how the school budget is spent and how the premises are maintained. They have legal duties, powers and responsibilities, meeting termly and in smaller committees as necessary. Each governor is additionally linked to a curriculum area and has a responsibility to monitor work in this area of the curriculum.

A Governors report relating to the progress of the school is issued to parents annually and this is followed by a meeting, where parents are invited to discuss the report and other school matters with the governors.

The governing body is currently made up of members of the community, staff and parents of pupils. A list of current Governors is included inside the back cover. The minutes of Governors’ meetings are displayed in the school office for anyone to read.

If you are interested in becoming a school Governor, please ask the headteacher for details.
