St George's Day.
April 23rd is St George's Day. Saint George is the patron saint of England.
We celebrated this day by asking everyone to dress up as characters from the George and the Dragon legend, in red and white, to wear the red cross on a white background emblem and to create work around the theme (playscripts, poetry, masks).
we also invited the community to join our assembly where we learned about the history, legend and traditions associated with St George.
These photos show some of the pupils on the day.

Our Y6 children have recently learned about children during the Second World War and we were invited to take part - as evacuees - in the 1940s weekend at the Coors Visitor Centre on Saturday, 2nd June.
Children were taken to the museum on a double decker bus, "met" Russian, U.S. and English soldiers and a member of the Fench resistance and joined in a "street party".
Our choir also sang some songs for the visitors.
Thanks to the children who came and to their parents for the support.
